The long-awaited battle against the mysterious Black Bulls Vice Captain. Dante, the Dark Triad leader, and Nacht are finally here! We were surprised to see Dante accompanied by someone else in this important fight between devil hosts. It’s Yami’s frienemy, (?) Jack the Ripper, captain of Green Mantis. This chapter has some amazing angles, so let’s get on with it.

Nacht’s Devil Union form

Ever since Nacht mentored (bullied?) We have always been interested in seeing both forms of the Devil Union, ever since we watched Asta achieve his form. Nacht was trained by Gimodelo and summoned Slotos, his second devil. He donned Equus, the Devil Union Mode. The Devil Union mode’s unique characteristic is toughness. He is protected by armor in the union mode that can withstand a direct attack by Dante.

We can conclude that Nacht’s devils all serve a different purpose and are used as needed. This is also consistent with the notion that Asta could probably create an area/region of Anti-Magic with Liebe’s and his Devil Union mode. Any magic that touches this area will be automatically repelled or nullified. In the next episodes, Nacht will be showing you his other powers, which he has gotten from his devils.

The fight

Jack used his Death Scythe to start the fight. He released a lot of slashes with the Lunatic Slash. Dante proved something that we knew from the beginning of this fight. He is back, and he is stronger.

Dante is shown with the scar Asta’s Anti-Magic has left on his face, almost as a reminder of his defeat. He gets bored of the weak players and uses Gravity Magic to make Jack lose his foothold. Nacht was worried because he knew how unbeatable Dante was and that he had the best chance to win.

Finally, we know what Jack’s role is. Jack’s Slash Magic, which can reduce even the most difficult of things, was his only chance. Nacht realized that this possibility was not even possible and that he could not hit a crucial hit for Dante.

Jack’s Story

Storytime! Storytime! We’ll leave the jokes aside and go back to Jack’s childhood. Jack was the son of a commoner hunter father, who made his living hunting small game. His father discovered Jack’s Slash magic and he was as happy hunting as he was. Jack’s father was a firm believer in never crossing swords (or blades). With someone stronger than him.

Jack accepted this idea and continued to follow it until his father died. Jack had been in a fight with a wild animal and was certain that he lost. Jack realized his strength when he went to the “lord of mountain”. He is able to fight against the strongest and still live proudly.

He joined the Magic Knights that day and came up with his own mantra: “I just want them to take those who have been considered strong and cut them into ribbons!”

The power of flashback was successfully used! Jack moved and cut through Dante’s Gravity Magic to sharpen the blades on his body. After a series insults and provocations by Dante, he rose to take full advantage of his newly manipulated blades. After a series of attacks, we, Dante, Nacht, thought that nothing had happened. But, wait! Jack’s attacks left Dante bleeding! We were shocked to see that Jack was the captain of an insect-themed squad, but he is worthy of being called a captain in every sense.

Sasuga, Jack-dancho! When even Nacht is impressed, you have to give it to him!

This is an interesting angle that I discovered in a comment section: Jack’s magic can be likened to Asta’s Anti-Magic, in that they both “cut” through magic. We now have the winners of the three duels and they are all the Magic Knights. Is it over?

“Undying Bodies”?

The Dark Triad, the feared and notorious Dark Triad, was defeated by the Magic Knights of the Clover in the final chapters. Although the fights were thrilling, we know that shounenworks this well without the MC. We know Asta is coming, but we don’t have any information on Secre, Noelle, Mimosa and Mimosa who are still in Elysia.

Tabata- Sensei, where is our poetic justice?

The title and cover for this chapter are also very suspicious. I think there is a plot twist coming. It could be a devil or two being released from the Tree of Qliphoth or the Dark Triad saying ” Don’t we deserve an Award for all our acting?” The Asta deficiency is not a figment of our imagination! What do you think? Asta, devils or some other entity? Let’s find out!
