Fire Force was the first time the term “pillar” was used. This was when the Evangelist (and her white clads) were introduced to the series. The main plot of Fire Force revolves around the pillars, or hashiras, in some fashion. Season 2 sees the Fire Force company and Evangelist wearing white hoods in a race for the pillars. Who are these pillars from Fire Force?
Let’s answer the question briefly
Individuals who have the Adolla Burst are called Pillars. These individuals are thought to be descended from the Sun God’s lineage. The Adolla Burst, a pure and unadulterated flame that originates from Adolla (an alternative dimension less well-known), is an example of a pure and unadulterated flame.
Who are the pillars of power?
Fire Force’s Pillars and Hashiras are pyrokinetics that possess either the Adolla Burst or the Flames of Destruction . These pillars are able to form a connection with Evangelists via the Adolla Link. This is what is known as the “Evangelist’s grace”, which grants them unmatched powers. Haumea called the fourth generation pyrokinetics the recipients of the grace. Sho Kusakabe can slow down the passage of time, while Shinra Kusakabe can move at twice the speed of light when he is under the grace of God.
There are eight pillars total in Fire Force. Five (almost six) of them were revealed in the anime.

Shinra Kusakabe and Company 8 discover that the Evangelist, along with her White Cloaks, are looking for the pillars to recreate the Great Cataclysm of 250 years ago. Fire Force Company 8 enters the fray and is now racing against the clock to capture all the pillars that were lost before the White Cloaks. To identify individuals with pyrokinetic abilities, the Adolla Burst has been used by the Evangelist and her followers using a parasite from the Haijima Industries.
The Chinese Peninsula arc Of Fire Force revealed more details about the pillars, and how they will bring on the great cataclysm.
Shinra, Victor Licht, and Company 2 and Company 4 members of the Fire Force’s joint task forces find a structure that is similar to Amaterasu on the deserted Peninsula. The Tabernacle power station was also being powered by an Adolla Burst. They discover that the pillars will be sacrificed by the Evangelist to bring about the Great Cataclysm.
The team discovers eight white fletched, key-shaped arrows within the core of the power plant. One of these arrows was visible from the Tabernacle’s core. A white fletched arrow sticking out of a roof in ancient Japan meant that the person living there was a “Human Pillar”, an offering to God. (Fire Force chapter 120). Each of the arrows represented a pillar that will be sacrificed to bring about the great cataclysm.
The Amaterasu’s source for power was initially believed to be an Adolla Burst. However, it is actually a human-pillar that has the Adolla Burst and can be considered the first sacrifice.
In order to make the Pillars, the Evangelist experimented on people. You can see the pillars as sacrifices to mass destruction.
